Samsung has begun rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy A14 5G, which includes the December 2024 security patch. This update addresses multiple security vulnerabilities and is currently available for the North American variant, model SM-A146M.

The new firmware version is A146MUBU8CXL3. Users of the North American Galaxy A14 5G may already have received a notification regarding the update. Those who have not received it can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings, then Software update, and selecting Download and install.

The Galaxy A14 5G follows Samsung’s Quarterly Security Update schedule, meaning it will receive security updates every three months, with the next update expected in March 2025. Additionally, the device is eligible for an upcoming Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update, which will introduce various new features.

This update is anticipated to be rolled out after the next Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S25 series will be unveiled, starting with high-end models before reaching mid-range and lower-end devices.
