Samsung’s upcoming mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56, are set to feature significant enhancements, including the introduction of 45W fast charging capabilities. Both devices have been certified by TUV Rheinland, confirming that they will charge at a rate of 10V and 4.5A.

The Galaxy A36 will share this fast charging technology with the Galaxy A56, both expected to be unveiled shortly after the Galaxy S25 launch. Notably, this marks the expansion of Samsung’s 45W fast charging, previously seen in some Galaxy C, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M series devices, to a broader audience through the popular Galaxy A series.

In terms of design, the Galaxy A36 and A56 will feature a Super AMOLED display, a unique ‘Key Island’ design on the right side, and a vertically aligned triple-camera setup on the back, although the A36 will have thicker bezels compared to its counterpart.

The devices are expected to run on Android 15 with One UI 7 software, and Samsung’s history suggests they could receive up to six major Android OS updates. The Galaxy A36 will utilize the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, while the Galaxy A56 will be powered by the more robust Exynos 1580 chipset, both offering capable performance for mid-range users.

Camera specifications include a 50MP primary rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera. Both models are anticipated to support 5G connectivity, GNSS, Bluetooth 5.3 or 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, stereo speakers, an IP67 rating, and a 5,000mAh battery, making them competitive options in the mid-range market.
