Fix Mobile Data Issues
If your carrier do not support 5G or if the signal strength is poor, network mode will keep switching between 5G/4G/ and 3G. This can cause sudden internet disconnections. Disable 5G temporary to see if the problem persists.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Connections.
- Select Mobile Networks.
- Tap on Network Mode.
- Select LTE/4G/3G/2G (Auto) to disable 5G temporarily.
APN (Access Point Name) is a set of settings that your mobile carrier uses to connect your phone to the internet or mobile data network. It acts as a gateway between your phone and the carrier’s network to enable features like web browsing, multimedia messaging (MMS), and other internet-related services.
An incorrect or missing APN configuration can result in:
- Issues sending or receiving MMS.
- Slow or unstable internet connections.
Carriers typically provide default APN settings, but you may need to manually configure or reset them if mobile data isn’t working properly.
- Open Settings.
- Tap on Connections.
- Select Mobile Networks.
- Tap on Access Point Names.
- Select your carrier’s APN or reset to the default by tapping the three-dot menu and choosing Reset to Default.
- Look at the signal bars at the top of your screen. Fewer bars indicate weak signal strength.
- If the signal is weak, move to a location with better reception, such as outdoors or near a window.
Fix SIM Card Issues
- Power off your phone and eject the SIM card using the SIM eject tool.
- Inspect the SIM card for any visible damage, then reinsert it securely.
If issues persist, reach out to your carrier to check for network outages or coverage problems in your area.
Insert a different SIM card into your phone to determine whether the issue lies with the SIM or the phone itself.
