Galaxy S24 Ultra Crowned as Best-Selling Premium Android Phone of 2024

According to market research firm Canalys, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has been recognized as the best-selling high-end Android smartphone globally for 2024. This device not only topped the premium Android segment but also secured the ninth position on the list of the world’s best-selling smartphones overall.

This achievement reflects improvement for Samsung, as the previous year saw no high-end Samsung devices in the top-selling rankings.

In 2023, the list comprised two low-end and one mid-range phone from Samsung, while the 2024 rankings feature the Galaxy S24 Ultra alongside two low-end models, including the Galaxy A15, which was the best-selling Android smartphone across all price points.

Despite the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s success, the overall smartphone market was dominated by Apple, which claimed seven spots on the best-selling list. The iPhone 15 became the top-selling smartphone, followed closely by iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which ranked second and third, respectively.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra stand out itself with features such as:

• A brighter display with an anti-reflective panel,
• A durable titanium frame,
• A robust camera system,
• Seven years of software updates, and
• Introduction of AI-powered features that have attracted a substantial number of buyers.

Additionally, Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S25 series, which has already broken pre-order records in South Korea, indicating a strong market performance following the success of the Galaxy S24 series.
