Galaxy S25 AI Filters to Expand to More Samsung Devices
Samsung is planning to introduce its new AI Filters feature, launched with the Galaxy S25 series to a selection of its smartphones from the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series launched in 2021 or later. This expansion comes alongside the release of the Android 15, One UI 7.0 update.
The AI Filters powered by Galaxy AI enable users to create custom filters. Samsung had previously included this feature with its fourth beta version of One UI 7.0.
According to tipster Tarun Vats, the following devices are likely to receive the AI Filter feature:
- Galaxy S series: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24
- Galaxy Z Fold series: Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip series: Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Flip 6
Samsung’s previous implementation of AI Filters on the Galaxy S24 hints at its potential compatibility with older devices, as it is assumed that the feature does not require extensive processing power.
In addition to introducing AI Filters, the Galaxy S24 Ultra also gained the ability to record videos in a logarithmic (LOG) profile through the fourth beta version of One UI 7.0. However, this feature is expected to be limited to the S24 Ultra, as it likely demands more processing power.
While Samsung has not announced a specific release date for the stable version of One UI 7.0, the company has indicated that it has concluded the beta program and will soon roll out updates. Users can check their Galaxy devices’ eligibility for the update through official channels.
