Samsung is preparing to introduce a new life-saving “Car Crash Detection” feature in its upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Recently leaked information hint that the Galaxy S25 series will include an advanced car crash detection sensor for this.

Interestingly, this same technology was present in previous models such as the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, it is not provided by the software to activate the Car Crash Detection feature for these devices.

The Car Crash Detection feature was initially launched with Google’s Pixel 8 series in 2023. The feature works with a specialized motion sensor combined with artificial intelligence to identify if a crash has occurred. Apple has also a similar feature in its iPhone 14 and newer models.

Despite having the necessary hardware for the feature, Samsung has yet to enable it on existing devices. There is speculation that the company is still refining the technology and may implement it with the One UI 7.0 update for select models.
