Satellite messaging first introduced by Apple in its iPhones since the iPhone 14 and now Samsung Galaxy S25 series has become the first Android devices to feature satellite messaging technology. This feature is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Satellite enables the Galaxy S25 devices to connect directly to low-earth orbit satellites. By using this feature, users can send and receive messages even in areas without cellular network coverage.
This feature is integrated into Android with the release of Android 15. However, it is also important to highlight that Samsung did not showcase this feature during its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.
