The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is now receiving the January 2025 security update, available for both carrier-locked and unlocked units in the USA. This update is identifiable by the build number ending in GXLF.
The January update focuses on security enhancements, addressing numerous vulnerabilities. Users will receive a notification when the update becomes available, and it can also be manually downloaded through the Settings menu under Software update. Additionally, firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 can be accessed from the SamMobile firmware database.
Samsung is also preparing a significant update that will introduce Android 15 and One UI 7, marking the third major OS upgrade for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, expected to arrive in March 2025.
