Galaxy S22 Series Receives January 2025 Security Update Across Europe
Samsung has rolled out the January 2025 security update for its Galaxy S22 series, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Initially available only in the USA, the update is now being expanded to multiple countries in Europe.
The latest update features the firmware version S90xBXXSDEXL1 and addresses security vulnerabilities identified in the previous software version. Specific firmware versions for the devices are as follows: Galaxy S22 (S901BXXSDEXL1), Galaxy S22+ (S906BXXSDEXL1), and Galaxy S22 Ultra (S908BXXSDEXL1).
Users in Europe can check for the update by navigating to:

- select Download and install.
Looking ahead, Samsung is expected to release the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S22 series in the coming weeks. The Galaxy S25 was the first device to launch with One UI 7.0, and the same software will soon be available for the Galaxy S22 lineup.
