Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Tab S9, which includes the December 2024 security patch. This update addresses several security vulnerabilities and is currently available for the Wi-Fi-only variant of the tablet, identified by model number SM-X710.

The firmware version for this update is X710XXU5BXL6, and it has been confirmed to be live in Korea. The company is expected to expand the rollout to other countries and variants of the device shortly. Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S9 is set to receive the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update, which will introduce new features. This software update is anticipated to be released following Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S25 series will be unveiled.
