Google Maps Now Integrates with One UI 7’s Now Bar

The latest version of Google Maps (25.05.01.719889437) for Android has been optimized to work seamlessly with the “Now Bar” on Galaxy devices running One UI 7.0 (based on Android 15). This new feature enables users to see their next navigation steps and live notifications on the lock screen.

Initially announced during the Galaxy Unpacked event, the Now Bar feature was not active until now. With this integration, Google Maps can display a progress bar for current navigation along with estimated time of arrival (ETA) information. This come in handy for users looking for quick access to navigation details without unlocking their devices.

Additionally, the Now Bar is designed to work with various Samsung and Google apps, including the “Always On Display” (AOD) screen. This allows users to monitor ongoing activities even when their phones are in sleep mode.
