Recent rumors confirms that Samsung may equip all models of the upcoming Galaxy S25 series with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset globally.

The international version of the Galaxy S25 base model has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This discovery adds credibility to the expectation that Samsung is moving towards a different chipset strategy for this model series.

The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip has the new following features:

  • Qualcomm Oryon CPU: This second-generation CPU has two prime cores clocked at up to 4.32GHz and six performance cores at 3.53GHz. It has a 45% increase in performance and a 44% improvement in power efficiency.
  • Adreno 830 GPU: Adreno 830 offers a 40% boost in graphics rendering speed.
  • Hexagon NPU: The upgraded AI engine provides a 45% improvement in AI performance for advanced on-device AI capabilities such as multimodal assistants that process text and visual inputs.
  • Connectivity: Snapdragon 8 Elite chip integrates the Qualcomm X80 5G Modem-RF System and FastConnect 7900. It is supporting latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
