Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy S25 series with the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip in all models and Samsung says, this latest mobile chip, developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, showcase big performance improvements over previous models.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy will be the fastest smartphone chip Qualcomm has released. In Unpacked event, Samsung showcase performance improvements of up to 37% in CPU, 30% in GPU, and 40% in NPU compared to the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chips used in the Galaxy S24 series.

Also, the Elite chip enhances AI image processing capabilities and improves display image scaling quality by 40% through its “ProScaler” engine. Additionally, Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) increases display power efficiency.

With these improvements, the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip enhances overall performance across various apps. These include gaming and camera features. The chip has also improved ray tracing performance and a Vulkan Engine for a smoother gaming experience.

To manage heat generated by the device, Samsung has implemented a new heat dissipation system, which includes a 40% larger vapor chamber and upgraded thermal interface material (TIM). Samsung says this ensures optimal temperatures during intensive tasks (gaming, video recording, etc.).
