Recent reports reveals that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 series will use LPDDR5X memory chips, while some devices use Micron’s LPDDR5X DRAM and other devices will use Samsung’s chips fabricated using a new 12nm process node.
Transitioning from the 13nm process to the 12nm process is expected to increase power efficiency and reduce the physical space required for the memory chips.
Additionally, all three models in the Galaxy S25 lineup will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Although Samsung initially planned to use its Exynos 2500 chip in certain variants, lower yield rates led to a decision to use only Qualcomm chips.
