One UI 7.0 Beta Expands with New Features and Updates for Galaxy S24 Users
Samsung has launched the One UI 7.0 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, initially available in select regions. Following the release of the first beta build, users can expect the second beta build to be rolled out soon. This update brings several key enhancements and features, marking a significant step forward in Samsung’s software offerings.
The One UI 7.0 beta includes improved security measures along with enhanced transparency policies. Notable design changes in the app drawer feature both horizontal and vertical scrolling options. The Samsung Calendar icon has also undergone a redesign.
In addition, users will find integration of Galaxy Buds controls within the media player widget, minor updates to Samsung Health, and the ability to use Quick Share over the internet. The update also introduces new lock screen clock styles, while the AR Emoji feature has been rebranded as Galaxy Avatar.
The Galaxy App Booster in One UI 7.0 is designed to enhance performance, and users in the USA can now utilize Call Transcripts for recording voice calls. However, some features, such as the lock screen widgets carousel, have been removed in this beta version.
Samsung has acknowledged that animations in the first beta need further optimization. The company has already begun rolling out the second beta firmware update on December 16, expanding access to more countries for Galaxy S24 users. As the One UI 7.0 beta program continues, Samsung plans to introduce additional updates and features based on user feedback and testing.
