Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge to Feature a Ceramic Design
Samsung is set to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge, which will showcase a distinctive ceramic design, marking a different from the materials used in the rest of the Galaxy S25 series. The phone’s frame is constructed from Armor Aluminum, while its back is speculated to be either fully ceramic or a variant of glass fused with ceramic, potentially reducing weight.
Expected to be Samsung’s thinnest smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to measure just 5.84mm, although this has not been officially confirmed. The device will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, scheduled for the first week of March, with its official launch anticipated in Q2 2025, likely in April.
In specifications, the Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch display, similar to the Galaxy S25+, and is equipped with a dual-camera setup that includes a 200MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens, along with a 12MP front-facing camera.
The phone will be powered by a 3,900mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. While the presence of wireless charging remains uncertain, it is generally expected that this feature will be included.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, supported by 12GB of RAM and storage options starting from 256GB. The device will launch with Android 15, featuring the latest iteration of Samsung’s user interface, One UI 7.0.
