Samsung has officially confirmed that the new Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen will not include Bluetooth functionality.

The S Pen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 0.7mm tip and 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. However, the removal of Bluetooth means that users will no longer have access to Air Actions, which allowed for remote app control through gestures, or the remote clicker button functionality for the camera application.

Some reports suggest that Samsung’s decision to remove Bluetooth from the S Pen have been influenced by data indicating that a limited number of Galaxy S Ultra owners using these features.

However, this design change has reportedly allowed for a slightly larger screen and improved heat management for the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The reason is, S Pen’s previous Bluetooth feature required additional internal components, including a battery and wireless charging coil.
