Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 to Feature Nearly Creaseless Display
Samsung is preparing to release its next generation of foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. Recent rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a nearly undetectable crease on its foldable display, although a slight crease may still be felt under specific lighting conditions.
Both Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 are expected to maintain a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, with no major upgrades reported in this area. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is said to include a higher quality loudspeaker.
In specifications, both devices are rumored to come with the following hardware:
Z Fold 7:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip
- 12GB RAM
- 200MP primary camera
- 1TB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options
Z Flip 7:
- Samsung Exynos 2500 chip
- 256GB and 512GB storage options
- Dual-camera setup of 50MP and 12MP
The new models are also expected to incorporate upgraded hinges for improved durability, although no increase in battery size is expected. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 may see upgrades in fast charging, with 45W support, and larger vapor chamber systems for better cooling performance. Both devices are expected to launch with One UI 7.1.
Mass production for both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 is reportedly set to begin in May 2025, with an official announcement likely in August and no expected increase in pricing. Additionally, Samsung may reveal its first dual-folding phone and the Galaxy Z Flip FE during the same event.
