Samsung has announced the upcoming February 2025 security patch, mentioning essential updates aimed at enhancing security across Galaxy devices. Although many Galaxy smartphones have yet to receive their first security update of the year, Samsung is moving forward with preparations for this next critical patch.

The devices set to receive the February security patch include:

  • Galaxy Z Flip 4,
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5,
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6,
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4,
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5,
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6.
  • Galaxy A53 5G,
  • Galaxy A54,
  • Galaxy A55,
  • Galaxy S22,
  • Galaxy S23,
  • Galaxy S24, and
  • Galaxy S25.

The February update includes fixes for vulnerabilities affecting all Android devices:

  • One vulnerability classified as critical and nearly three dozen deemed high-risk.
  • Samsung has addressed 7 specific security flaws impacting Galaxy devices. Among these fixes are:
    • Vulnerabilities related to Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets on Android versions 12 to 14,
    • A flaw that could jeopardize Galaxy smartwatches operating on the latest Wear OS and Samsung One UI Watch.

As of now, Samsung has not rolled out the February 2025 update for any Galaxy device, but it is anticipated to be available soon. The update may be integrated with the upcoming Android 15 / One UI 7 update, which is expected to release in the next couple of weeks.
