If you’re a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra user and you’ve found that the brightness bar has disappeared, it can be a frustrating experience but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

In this article, we’ll walk you through easy-to-follow steps to restore the brightness bar and regain control over your Galaxy S23 Ultra’s screen‘s lighting. Let’s dive in!

Note: Solutions in this guide will work on any Samsung Galaxy S23 model (S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra models.)

Editor’s note: We created these instructions using a Samsung Galaxy S23 running Android 13. Depending on your device’s software version, some steps and menu positions may look slightly different.

Step 01 – Enable Show The Brightness Bar Always

If you’re having trouble finding the brightness bar as usual (sliding down the notification panel), it means that the brightness bar will only be visible when you further slide it down. To fix this problem, you want to make sure the “show brightness bar” option is enabled.

Once you have enabled this option, you can go back and see if the brightness bar is back. If not, move into the second step.

Step 02 – Restart your Galaxy S23 Ultra

If you still cannot see the brightness bar when swiping down the notification panel, it means the changes are not applied yet. To make the changes visible, you need to restart your Galaxy S23 Ultra in this way:

  1. Keep holding the power key and volume down key together until the device starts to turn off.
Force restart samsung

After the phone has restarted, the brightness bar should be restored under the quick settings menu on the notification panel.

If the brightness bar is still missing, you may have to reset your device’s settings, and we will see how to do that below.

Reset All settings

Resetting all the settings on your S23 Ultra can help restore the missing brightness bar as it removes any previous configurations. This is a simple and effective way to fix the problem but you will have to adjust your device settings once again after the process is completed.

The process of resetting all settings is straightforward and can be done in a few steps:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to General management.
  3. Tap on Reset.
