Step 01 – Enable Show The Brightness Bar Always
If you’re having trouble finding the brightness bar as usual (sliding down the notification panel), it means that the brightness bar will only be visible when you further slide it down. To fix this problem, you want to make sure the “show brightness bar” option is enabled.
To do this, first, slide the notification bar all the way down and follow the steps below:
- Tap on the three dots at the top right side.
- Select Quick panel layout.
- Then, under the quick panel layout, tap on the Brightness control.
- Select “Show always.”
Once you have enabled this option, you can go back and see if the brightness bar is back. If not, move into the second step.
Step 02 – Restart your Galaxy S23 Ultra
If you still cannot see the brightness bar when swiping down the notification panel, it means the changes are not applied yet. To make the changes visible, you need to restart your Galaxy S23 Ultra in this way:
- Keep holding the power key and volume down key together until the device starts to turn off.
After the phone has restarted, the brightness bar should be restored under the quick settings menu on the notification panel.
If the brightness bar is still missing, you may have to reset your device’s settings, and we will see how to do that below.
Reset All settings
Resetting all the settings on your S23 Ultra can help restore the missing brightness bar as it removes any previous configurations. This is a simple and effective way to fix the problem but you will have to adjust your device settings once again after the process is completed.
The process of resetting all settings is straightforward and can be done in a few steps:
- Open Settings.
- Go to General management.
- Tap on Reset.
- Then, tap on Reset all settings.
Once the reset is completed, restart your device. Then see if the brightness bar is restored again.
We hope this guide helped you to fix and restore the missing brightness bar on your Samsung Galaxy S23.
