Samsung Good Lock App Set to Expand to More Countries with One UI 7 Release
Samsung’s Good Lock app which has been enhancing the customization of Galaxy smartphones and tablets for nearly ten years is historically limited to select regions now set to expand its availability.
The app has faced criticism from fans for its restricted access. However, this is about to change with the new One UI 7 update.
A Samsung representative has confirmed that the Good Lock app will soon be available in all countries through Google Play Store. Until now, the app was only available via the Samsung Galaxy Store.
In May 2024, the Samsung made the app available on the Play Store in select regions but access was quickly revoked for unspecified reasons. With the new update, users across the world will be able to download the Good Lock app from both the Galaxy Store and the Play Store.
In addition, One UI 7 is will introduce several enhancements and features for the Good Lock app: A redesigned UI, , new “My Page” tab that for management and resetting of various app settings, a new filter that will simplify the process of locating specific features within the app, and flexibility in arranging icons and widgets on their home screens
The redesigned Good Lock app is anticipated to launch later in January with the release of the Galaxy S25 series and the stable rollout of One UI 7.
