Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta Fails to Resolve Battery Drain Concerns

Recent released One UI 7.0 (based on Android 15) beta for the Galaxy S24 series introduced new features and an updated UI. However, the update has also brought some issues with it.
The issue is, there is an increased battery drain compared to the previous stable version, One UI 6.1.1 (based on Android 14). Although it is not a surprise that beta releases might introduce bugs, users were hopeful that the second beta would address the battery consumption problem on the previous One UI 7 beta version 1.
Unfortunately, even after installing the second beta, many Galaxy S24 owners continue to experience battery drains. Some users have reported that their devices are consuming twice as much battery in idle mode compared to the first One UI 7 beta, while others pointed out that the battery dropped by 6% in just 16 minutes of use.
According to reports, Samsung has acknowledged the issue and urged users to report the problem through the Samsung Members app. Users can attach the system log data to help the company investigate issue further. Samsung has expressed its intention to fix the battery drain issue in the upcoming third beta, although no official release date has been revealed yet.
If you are a Galaxy S24 user and you experience this issue, you will need to wait for the next update to get a fix.
